I have started believing in ....

Once again I had forgotten something. And this time it wasn't trivial. I had missed my train and that too by one complete day. And I got to realize it at the moment when I was about to take the printout of my eticket.

This was diwali time and I was at home celebrating to the fullest. But it was time to come back to Pune. I was assuming my train is on saturday [01 Nov] but when I checked my ticket early in the morning on saturday , it took me a while to realize that train has already left from station (yesterday). I was stunned, it was diwali time and it was next to impossible to get another ticker so early. I checked the flights and tickets were sold out. I checked all the options of train but no luck. Trains had the waiting list railway was proud of. Bus was my last option but my sister was strongly against that (she was coming along too).

I took the chance. Booked my tickets in punjab mail, took the waiting of 200 and called up my bro in the hope of a seat. Atleast one reserved seat !! He is in indian railways so I thought he might help. He checked out all his contacts with no success:( Infact they suggested me to cancel this ticket and try for tommorrow. They were somewhat hopeful on next day. But I had made up my mind. I was ready to suffer in this SAFAR. I packed my bags and asked my sister to do the same. We had already decided that we will go to the station but in case we dont get a seat she will come back and i will continue with the suffering.

We were at station and train was 2 hours late. I rushed to see my status on the reservation chart. But I was shocked to find out that my e-ticket is alreay been cancelled automatically and I am standing foolishly there without ticket. But I am sure GOD was looking at my pathetic state. It cant be other than that because a man in his 40s approached me and asked.

"bhaisahab mere paas ek third ac ka ticket hai. mera bhai travel nahin kar raha hai. aap loge?"

What !! I would pay any amount for that. But I was confused as it was only one and I needed two. And if I buy tickets from the TC inside train I was not sure how much he is going to charge. I was just weighing the option when GOD looked more generous to me. A lady came to me and asked

"ticket chahiye? mere husband jo red shirt me udhar hain unse baat karo"

And the gentleman in red shirt was there with me. He had booked 3 tickets with some waiting list. At the time of tatkal booking he again booked the ticket. Now all the seats in the first ticket are confirmed along with one seat in the tatkal ticket. So he was offering that to me. I was in heaven as I didnt expect this miracle to me. This was the luckiest moment I had experienced ever in my life. I was there at station almost without ticket and now I had multiple offers for the seat.

I took no time to buy the ticket from this gentleman and there was nothing great than the smooth ride to pune.

And you know what. I have started believing in LUCK.
